Problems-a-hoy!
So we moved.....BACK in September to beautiful Hawaii. I was without my CPU & other household goods until January, living in a hotel that entire time. We FINALLY get into our house, get our household goods, fire up the CPU, put all our Photos of Hawaii on the CPU, also back it up on the external......the CPU crashes. Long story short, I am starting this back up, but its going to take some work. These months from here on out will not look the same. New house, new furniture, new lens, new placement, so bear with me......

four months old
So who's four month old is doing six month old plus milestones? This gal! I normally don't pay attention to milestones, since every baby does their own thing and eventually gets to them on their own schedule. Jake was always "behind" a month or two with his milestones, not walking until 16 months. Of course with the exceptions of knowing his ABC's, numbers, colors and shapes, by the time he was 1. Brain like skills, haha, is his thing and he's always been ahead of the curve with that (our walking giant brain of a child). But Kaleb is starting to scare me with how advanced he is. The "tripod" move that babies don't start thinking of doing until 6 months, he's mastered. He about sits up all on his own and while holding onto our fingers, actually takes steps. When he's on his belly, he gets up on his knees and rocks and tries to kick his legs out. I think it helps having a big brother to watch. The doctor, along with anyone who holds him say the same thing, "He's so strong!" And that he is. He would have to be to have made it through those 9 months of pregnancy with the surgery and the pancreatitis. I thank God everyday for my little miracle baby.

three months old
What to say about our brilliant little three month old mister? He is a talker!! From last months blog that may seem like its nothing new, but then you would be mistaken. Not only is he being more verbally chatty (expressive), but we are also blessed enough to have him giving a different facial expression with each "coo", "ohhh!", "ooo", "agoo", and my favorite........HIS SQUEAL!!!, as if he's carrying on a conversation with you. LOVE. IT. A big shout out to Jake of course, who talks to him all day long; just beautiful.
Along with the ever so expressive expressions, we are getting the best little chuckles & grunty & shrill squeals alive, when he's excited to see us or if we're face to face talking with him. His little arms & legs start going 100 miles a minute and then he lets out a big gargling squeal with the cheesiest grin. And that my friends is how I start my mornings, everyday.
My amazing life.

two months old
Month two and what an amazing two months its been. Full of smiling, the kind of smiles that melt & break your heart (in a good way) all at the same time; all gums, opened mouth grins to simple little curl of the lips), laughing, playing the "agooing" game; mimicking us back and forth, as he squirms and wriggles out of sheer excitement! He looks at us like he just cant get enough of us and it melts my heart.
Right now, we are awesome to him.
But more awesome than that, is watching him look at his big brother....he stares in amazement. You can already see the love between them. Jake has become the big brother I had hoped he'd be. Loving, caring and protective. He checks on him, kisses him good morning/good night and even just randomly throughout the day, saying, "I love you baby Kaleb" (not to mention the few times a day he says to me, "Mom, I really love baby Kaleb."). The cutest is when he talks to him, all on his own, as if Kaleb is in full understanding of what he's saying. And its simple things he says, too:
"Look Kaleb, I'm wearing my striped shirt today."
"Kaleb, we're going to the grocery store now!"
"See Kaleb, I'm playing with my car today."
He tells him all the wonderful things he's going to teach him; climbing trees, driving dads car, things of which he still cant do at his ripe old age of 4. And Kaleb just stares at him in complete awe. I was folding laundry this morning in Kaleb's room, Kaleb on his blanket on the floor & Jake laying next to him with a little truck. I zone out for a moment, organizing Kaleb's clothes, pulling out whats too small & moving forward the next size up. I hear Jakob talking, but not really listening to what he's saying (mommy selective hearing, oops!). I focus in, to hear him reading Kaleb the "Quiet LOUD" book, YELLING at the top of his lungs at the LOUD part. I teared up. Kaleb was "agooing" right back at him. I cant wait to see them grow up together.
The bond is already strong.

one month old
Our sweet little boy, Kaleb Maddox Gruber, was born April 17th at 5:57am. 7 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 inches. I never in a million years thought I could love anyone else the way I loved my husband. Then Jake was born October 26th, 2006 and I knew how wrong I really was. With his birth brought on a whole new love for my husband. A love that was so incredibly deep, it took my breath away looking at him hold our new little boy. I knew he loved me the same. We were happy and content with just Jake; I just didn't think I had enough room in my heart to love anyone else, but I turned another year older, nearing 30, and we wondered if maybe a complete family of four was in order. Again, I wasn't expecting to feel another immense amount of love. And again, I was wrong. Not only did I look at my husband with more love, I looked at Jake, our first amazing boy, with more love than I thought possible. How could you love your child more than you already did? And how can that love be intensified all because of one little Mister, Mr. Kaleb Maddox Gruber? I think with each child, you heart grows bigger and right now, mine feels as big as the world. I could just burst!
